Diodora cayenensis (Lamarck, 1822), Cayenne Keyhole Limpet

3/12/16  Rusty:

Common beached on treasure coast. Found along with light to moderate weight shell hash. Half of what I finds appear to be fresh. Worn tend to be golden tan rarely white. Seem like Marlo is right about the black around orifice. A few I have have it while most have white. Any neon pink is an encrusting organism and not true to this species.
