 Melanella eburnea (Megerle von Mühlfeld, 1824)  Previously M. jamaicensis (C.B. Adams, 1845), Jamaica Melanella

Upon reviewing this presentation the following comments were posted:

Marien Faber suggested:

"again extremely well done. Great photos! Perhaps these species have a different (holothurian) host?"


Peggy Williams observed:

"I have found both (M. jamaicensis and M. conoidea) by hand dredging in sand. They did not appear to be on a host."


Marlo agreed:

My experience has been the same as Peggy's. Many times live specimens of these species are in dredge takings with no apparent host material present.
