I made this trip to explore oyster and sand bars washed by daily tides inside the intracoastal waterway about 2.5 miles south of Ponce Inlet.

The two habitats explored were an oyster bar of hard to soft packed sand covered with living and empty Crassostrea virginica and an extensive sand bar of hard-packed sand.  I timed my visit for a -0.4 tide.

I spent about one hour on the bars and a whole lot of time paddling.
