I made this trip to Pine Island in hopes of finding a living population of Geukensia demissa (not previously reported from this area) reported on iNaturalis I did not succeed, but below is a list od species I did encounter.

My search area was at the shoreline and near shallows.  The habitat is one of soft  sand with lots coquina rock along water's edge.

I spent about three hours trudging along the shoreline and through the soft sand just off shore.
