This shell was originally designated Phacoides (Bellucina) amiantus Dall, 1901. It is presented by Abbott (1974) as Linga amiantus (Dall, 1901). However, it is currently accepted as correctly grouped in the Genus Radiolucina Britton, 1972 and designated as the type species for this genus.
