I have collected only one specimen of this shell. The photos have been reviewed by Harry Lee (Marine Shells of Northeast Florida 2009) who commented:
"Your shell has a much finer sculpture with more spiral and axial elements than does any of mine or the few treated in the sparse literature (Lee, 2009: 141)." "The narrowing of the profile at the body whorl is an unusual feature of this species."
